Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a board certified/eligible Obstetric Hospitalist to join our team in Freeport, Illinois. This is a full-time, hospital-employed, 100% inpatient role with eight 24-hour shifts per month.

You will cover labor and delivery, including cesarean sections, perform inpatient rounding and discharges, and collaborate with the Northwest Regional Perinatal Center and Level III NICU in Rockford. Qualifications include an ACGME-accredited residency, at least three years of inpatient

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program.
• Must have at least three years of inpatient experience.
• MD/DO board certified/board eligible.
• Skilled at providing exceptional care.
• The ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cover labor and delivery including c-sections.
• Inpatient rounding and discharging.
• Team with Northwest Regional Perinatal Center and Level III NICU in Rockford, IL.
