Job summary

Corewell Health seeks an inpatient Diet Technician to support nutrition care under an RD, performing nutrition screening, data collection, and education for patients. You will participate in the Nutrition Care Process and help monitor intake and diet plans within a hospital setting.

The role includes documenting data, reviewing menus, maintaining records, and collaborating with diet office staff to ensure aligned care and accurate nutrition interventions. Part time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in nutrition, dietetics, food service systems management, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Registered Dietitian with nutrition care of patients and participates in the Nutrition Care Process.
• Screening for nutrition risk and implementing diet instruction and evaluations of nutrient intake.
• Documenting medical, food, and nutrition-related data and communicating with RD and meal service staff.
• Reviewing menus for conformance to diet orders and providing nutrition education, individually or in groups.
• Maintaining records and stock, monitoring formulas and nutrition supplements as needed.
