Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• If working in ND, must be on ND Nurse Aide Registry after training/validation or within four months of employment.
• If working in WI, must be on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with work eligibility or be a student nurse with clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of RN or LPN.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.

Education
