UNMH Jobs seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Neurosurgery Clinic. The role manages patients with cranial, spine, and general neurosurgical conditions in an outpatient setting, with collaboration from neurosurgeons and a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers day or night shifts, a full-time FTE, and opportunities for professional growth within UH Neurosurgery. A formal, structured clinical pathway supports patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Licensed as NP or PA with prescriptive authority in NM.
• Minimum 1 year directly related neurosurgery experience.
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS or Professional Rescuers within 30 days.
• NCCPA certification for PA or applicable NP credential.
• ACLS or PALS within 30 days of hire.
• DEA and NM prescriptive authority current or in process.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage neurosurgery patients in outpatient/inpatient settings.
• Perform rounds, orders and care plans with neurosurgical team.
• Discharge planning and coordination with related services.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up.
