Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator in the Neurosciences Unit. The 0.8 FTE role involves 8-hour shifts in evenings/nights with every other weekend, performing clerical tasks and direct patient care under RN supervision, while maintaining a safe, organized unit environment.

The position supports care plans, documents in real time, coordinates care with multiple departments, and emphasizes family-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers) is required; must obtain/maintain within one month if not currently certified by AHA.
• Ability to safely transfer patients and work hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support and patient care under supervision of a RN.
• Document care and orders accurately and in real time.
• Coordinate patient schedules and tests with multiple departments.
• Assist with ADLs and transfer patients using safe techniques.
• Deliver family-centered care and maintain patient safety.
