Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Tier III) to join the inpatient Solid Tumor/Neuro-Oncology service.

The role provides patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting treatment plans and coordinating with the multi-disciplinary team. Candidates must have completed the required certification for NP or PA, with preferred Acute Care Certified Pediatric NP.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by ARC-PA; BLS/PALS/ACLS as applicable.
• Pediatrics and hematology/oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care duties in the designated service according to established standards and protocols.
• Collects and documents patient histories and examinations; orders and interprets diagnostic studies.
• Facilitates referrals to ancillary services and coordinates care with the care team.
• Educates patients and families; orients and precepts students and new staff.
• Maintains regular attendance and participates in research and quality improvement activities.
