Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Inpatient Nephrology team. You will provide high-acuity care, perform daily rounding, evaluate patients, and implement treatment plans for acute kidney conditions and electrolyte disorders.

The role includes initiating and managing inpatient dialysis therapies, collaborating with nephrologists, hospitalists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-acuity inpatient nephrology care on the Acute Nephrology Service.
• Performs daily multidisciplinary rounding and develops evidence-based treatment plans.
• Monitors therapy response for acute kidney conditions and electrolyte disorders.
• Initiates and manages inpatient dialysis therapies including hemodialysis and CRRT.

Education

Master's degree in Nursing

Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
