Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Mobility Technician to assist clinical staff in an inpatient setting. You will support patient mobility, infection control, and therapeutic activities under supervision, while maintaining equipment and coordinating supply procurement.

Strong communication and time management are essential for safe, patient-centered care. Qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS, with 1 year of patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of patient care assistant experience or six months in therapy related field preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a team member, assisting colleagues and patients with mobility and safety.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and physicians to support post-surgical or strengthening exercises.
• Performs infection control and clerical tasks in support of patient care.
• Maintains equipment, orders supplies, and supports unit workflow.
