• Licensed mental health professional credential required (LMSW/LCSW/LMFT/LPC or Psychologist).
• Ability to provide direct clinical services including assessments, interventions, planning and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted social/work practice standards.
• Plans and conducts individual, family and/or group therapy as assigned.
• Completes Comprehensive Integrated Assessment and contributes to Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan.
• Reviews multidisciplinary assessments and documents a treatment plan under physician supervision.
• Performs case management and discharge planning.
• Attends treatment team meetings and compiles multidisciplinary integration summaries.
• Delivers ethical patient care, respecting dignity and cultural considerations.
• Assesses age/disability/cultural needs and communicates appropriately to patients and families.
• Involves patient's support system in treatment decisions where appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Full-time Inpatient Mental Health Therapist

LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Psychologist REQUIRED.

Norman Regional Health System and Oceans Healthcare have partnered to expand access to behavioral health services in south central Oklahoma through construction of a new, state-of-the-art behavioral hospital.

Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village, a 48-bed facility, will more that double Norman Regional Health System’s inpatient capacity for adult and senior behavioral health patients and add new services, including an intensive outpatient program and a dedicated geriatric behavioral health unit. The freestanding hospital will be located on the Norman Regional Porter campus and replace the existing 20-bed behavioral health unit.

As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, our therapists provide direct clinical services - including assessments, interventions, treatment planning and discharge planning, as well as providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to further patient/family/group progress in treatment.

Essential Functions

1. Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice.
2. Plans and conducts individual family and/or group therapy as assigned by the Director of Social Services or physician's order.
3. Conducts, assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment.
4. Reviews all Multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under the supervision of the attending physician.
5. Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Social Services.
6. Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals; combines the reports of all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary, which facilitates the patient's progress towards treatment plan goals
7. Delivers patient services in an ethical manner which promotes respect for the patient and enhances the patient's dignity and satisfaction; Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret a patient's response to treatment in age/disability/culturally sensitive specific manner.
8. Assesses and interprets age/disability/cultural needs; Identifies safety, psychosocial, special mobility and special equipment needs; and Communicates in an age/disability/culturally sensitive related manner to patients and their families
9. Conducts treatment and discharge planning in accordance with age/disability/cultural needs and involves members of the patient's support system in decision making as appropriate.
10. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
