Job summary

McLean SouthEast (MSE) is an inpatient psychiatric unit focused on depression and anxiety, providing patient-centered care through engagement, medication management, and behavioral interventions in a supportive, team-based setting.

This per diem role requires a minimum of four shifts per month. Shifts are 8 hours and rotate across Days, Evenings, and Weekends, with responsibilities including direct patient care and maintaining therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire.
• BLS certification preferred.
• LNA credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions
• Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
• Provides shift-to-shift reports and remains on unit during incoming shift.
• Thinks and acts quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
• Maintains professional boundaries with patients at all times.
• Completes and files all documentation timely.
