Job summary

Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood, IN seeks Mental Health Technicians for a full-time role with a 7:00 am–3:30 pm shift. Provides direct patient care, supervision, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities, with potential overtime and shift coverage.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, supporting a structured milieu, and modeling healthy problem-solving and interactions. Reports to Unit Coordinator under Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred.
• Six months to one year of experience working with a behavioral health in-patient population preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and intervene with patients for safety.
• Ensure a structured therapeutic milieu.
• Role models problem solving and healthy relationship skills.
