Job summary

452 MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERV. is seeking Mental Health Technicians to support patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit in Norman, OK. You will provide direct and indirect care, assist with therapeutic activities, and help maintain a safe, structured environment under supervision.

Position offers weekend/holiday coverage with shift differentials and benefits. Prior behavioral health experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of behavioral health patient care experience required.
• Must believe that recovery is possible!
• Possesses a strong commitment to patient well-being and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care: support patients individually and in groups within an inpatient behavioral health setting.
• Ensure safety and well-being: participate in de-escalation strategies and maintain a safe environment.
• Serve as a role model: demonstrate problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and coping skills.
