Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Mental Health Technician for Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This pool, hourly position operates 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every-other weekend work and no on-call requirements.

Responsibilities include direct patient care under RN supervision, continuous monitoring for safety, and fostering therapeutic relationships. Required BLS, High School diploma, and FL Driver's license. Preferred CNA/PCT credential and 6 months psychology experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High School or Equivalent required.
• Florida Driver's License required.
• CNA/PCT certification preferred.
• 6 months psychology-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under RN supervision.
• Ongoing monitoring and observation to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promote communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Assist with physical care under the direction of an RN.
