Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years mental health experience or MH Specialist certificate.
• One year direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to develop helpful relationships with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Attend shift reports and review patient data to determine status.
• Review and implement treatment and behavior management plans.
• Read treatment plans and daily mental status assessments for accurate care.
• Engage with patient early to review the day's schedule.
• Report vital signs, safety level, behavior changes to RN/Manager.
• Document patient activities and progress each shift.
• Lead therapeutic groups and participate in crisis intervention when needed.
• Provide patient/family education regarding milieu and hospitalization goals.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, respectful environment.
