The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is hiring Nursing Assistants to provide direct patient care to Veterans within Mental Health Nursing. Positions may be located in 39-Gero or 39-1 West (acute) and may fill other inpatient Mental Health roles.

Qualifications include a minimum of six months general experience or related education, plus coursework in nursing care. Expect a schedule that includes night hours and weekend rotations as part of a 80-hour pay period with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience or higher education in related field.
• One year of education above high school with courses related to nursing care or completion of a short occupation-specific training program.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
• Assist in implementing the resident's plan of care with nursing team.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to RN or supervising staff.
• Document care provided and patient responses.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for Veterans.
• Participate in care team discussions and patient activities.
