Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Physician Assistant required OR Master’s Degree Nursing required.
• Massachusetts Physician Assistant required OR Massachusetts Advanced Practice Registered Nurse required.
• 2 years of experience as an APP required.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skilled in taking medical histories, ability to maintain quality control, calm in emergencies, interpret and apply guidelines, communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in inpatient settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations and orders/ interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on exam findings and test results; orders medications and writes prescriptions.
• Maintains thorough documentation including admission, progress, discharge notes, and procedure notes.
