Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, in partnership with Central Maine Medical Center, seeks a Physician to serve as Medical Director of its Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Lewiston, Maine.

The Medical Director will combine clinical practice with leadership, collaborating closely with hospital leadership, therapy teams, nursing staff and case management to drive quality outcomes while maintaining an active inpatient rehabilitation practice.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Eligible for Maine medical licensure.
• Leadership experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Unit as Medical Director.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, therapy teams, nursing and case management.
