Job summary

Annashae in Illinois seeks an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner with Full Practice Authority to provide medical care for adult inpatient mental health patients across 2–3 units. Qualifications

• Full Practice Authority in Illinois – Required
• Illinois Controlled Substance Certificate
• Current DEA Certificate
• Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner background
• Ability to pass required background screening
• Negative Mantoux/TB test prior to start or within 90 days
• Malpractice insurance provided
• 5 PTO days per year
• Long-term opportunity with potential for contract renewal

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to adult inpatient populations.
• Perform medical evaluations and admissions assessments.
• Diagnose and treat routine illnesses and injuries.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications within established protocols.
• Conduct regular rounds and monitor medical progress.
• Document examinations, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Review outside consultations and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Advise nursing staff regarding medical treatments and procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provide urgent medical evaluation for acute concerns.
• Evaluate and triage staff injuries when needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, and educational activities.
