Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital’s lactation department is a dynamic team of IBCLC nurses delivering evidence-based lactation care across primary, acute, and ICU settings. The team collaborates with multidisciplinary colleagues and offers opportunities to grow as an educator, mentor, and leader in the field.

The role requires at least two years of RN experience (pediatrics/NICU preferred) and two years as a Lactation Consultant, MA RN license, and IBCLC certification.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years RN experience in pediatrics/NICU preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years clinical Lactation Consultant experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates maternal history and develops lactation care plans.
• Applies scientific knowledge to diagnosis and treatment; instructs patients and caregivers.
• Serves as resource and educator for healthcare providers and the public.
