Job summary

Advocate Health's Wake Region Hospital Medicine team seeks a FLEX Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver inpatient care across Wake Region locations.

The NP/PA will provide team-based care, collaborate with physicians, and support staffing across Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem) and other Wake Region centers. Experience in inpatient adult medicine is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Master’s degree or higher required.
• AGACNP certification through AANP or ANCC required.
• Current North Carolina RN and NP licensure.
• Prior inpatient provider experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
• Independently evaluate and manage hospitalized adult medicine patients.
• Round on assigned patients and manage admissions, consultations, and transfers as appropriate.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, case management, and other teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
• Document all encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with rapid responses and critical events as needed.
