Job summary

HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its hospice team in Providence, RI. The role provides care to hospice patients at Hulitar Center, with duties planned by a registered nurse and aligned to each patient’s plan of care.

This full-time, 36-hour night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) requires every fourth weekend and is eligible for benefits. The team emphasizes compassionate care, patient dignity, and support for families.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide certification required or equivalent certification.
• Experience preferred but not required; 1-3 years of CNA experience is listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to hospice patients.
• Observes, reports and documents patient status and care.
• Supports patients and families through ongoing communication.
• Follows infection control procedures.
• Recognizes and reports changes in patient status to the IPU RN.
• Recognizes emergencies and understands emergency procedures.
• Maintains patient and family confidentiality.
