Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Inpatient Adult Hematology/Oncology Physician to join the John Stoddard Cancer Center. The role centers on hospitalized cancer patients with a two weeks on / two weeks off schedule and no outpatient clinic during service weeks.

The successful candidate will contribute to a multidisciplinary cancer program, collaborating with medical, radiation, surgical oncology and palliative care teams, and perform bone marrow biopsies and related procedures as

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Eligible/Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
• Board Eligible/Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Iowa medical license.
• Current and unrestricted state and federal prescribing authority.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• H-1B cap-exempt opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology care and coordinate with hospitalists.
• Maintain continuity between inpatient and outpatient cancer care.
• Collaborate with medical, surgical, radiation oncology and palliative care teams.
• Perform bone marrow biopsies and other oncology procedures.
