Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking an Inpatient Hematology Nurse to influence patient care through collaboration with your direct manager and participation in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives.

You will assist with admission and discharge processes, coordinate staffing, and implement nursing strategies to engage staff and improve service. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork in a dynamic inpatient unit.

Qualifications

• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date; RN license required.
• RN Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate Degree.
• ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate or related certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to support teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and equipment management.
