Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking an Inpatient Hematology Nurse to influence patient care through collaborative leadership and involvement in hospital councils and nursing initiatives.

You will help manage admissions, discharges, staffing, and supply chains while promoting a patient-first philosophy and engaging in ongoing professional development within a large academic medical center.

Qualifications

• BCLS (within 30 days of employment start date) and RN license required.
• RN Diploma, Bachelors or an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate or equivalent must be obtained within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge to ensure throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of care in the unit with management.
• Collaborate with SMEs and managers to foster teamwork and better patient outcomes.
• Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement and rounds.
• Provide input on interviewing, selection, and training of staff; support actions for performance and policy compliance.
• Assist with staff scheduling to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
