Bronson Healthcare is seeking an Inpatient Gastroenterologist to join Bronson Gastroenterology Portage (BMH). The role emphasizes inpatient care with potential outpatient opportunities, in a 3/4/3 and 4/4/? rotating hospitalist schedule and 24/7 call support.

The position offers competitive salary, paid malpractice with tail, generous PTO and CME, and a path toward academic appointment with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.

Qualificações

• Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience required.
• Current Medical License in the state of Michigan.
• Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration.
• Must maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges.
• Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with proper telephone etiquette.
• Professional and tactful manner in all interactions.

Responsabilidades

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating patients.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection with educational materials.
• Determines referrals based on examination and patient needs.
• Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referrals or consultations.
• Exercises final medical judgment in all health care issues.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
• Orders studies, tests and ancillary services.
• Documents all services in patient medical records.
• Oversees mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality and provides outstanding customer service.
