Job summary

CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth Gastroenterology Associates in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Gastroenterologist.

The physician will manage ICU-level GI care for an expected 15–18 patients per day, provide inpatient consultations, and perform GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP within a 7 on / 7 off schedule. The position anchors a new permanent inpatient GI service model with support from locum tenens and an APP, backed by a full team

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and GI fellowship completed.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Internal Medicine residency completed; strong capability with ICU-level patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage 15–18 inpatient GI patients per day including admissions, daily care and discharges.
• Provide inpatient GI consults, collaborate with intensivists and specialists.
• Perform GI procedures: EGD, colonoscopy; ERCP; others not currently supported.
• Anchor a new permanent inpatient GI service model with dedicated APP support.
