CHRISTUS Southeast Texas - St. Elizabeth Gastroenterology Associates in Beaumont, TX seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Gastroenterologist to anchor a new permanent inpatient GI service.

Join a team with ICU involvement, RNs, LVNs, and dedicated support staff, using Epic EMR. Responsibilities include managing 15-18 inpatient GI patients daily, inpatient GI consultations with intensivists, and performing EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency and GI fellowship
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
• Open to experienced physicians and new graduates
• Ability to manage ICU-level patients and perform GI procedures

Responsibilities

• Manage 15-18 inpatient GI patients daily including admissions, care, and discharges
• Provide inpatient GI consultations, collaborating with intensivists and other specialists
• Perform GI procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP; advanced procedures like EUS not currently supported
• Anchor a new permanent inpatient GI service model with APP support
• Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, endoscopy nurses, anesthesia; Epic EMR used
