Job summary

The MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in Holyoke, MA seeks a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for inpatient family primary care. This full-time 40-hour role includes weekend rotation and autonomy in diagnosing and treating complex psychiatric patients.

You will perform admission H&P within 24 hours, follow-up notes within 48 hours, and prescribe within NP scope. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for patients with co-occurring substance use disorders.

Qualifications

Inpatient Family Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care, Full Time 40hrs

Schedule: Full Time - 40 hours per week, including weekend rotation The

Nurse Practitioner conducts comprehensive medical assessments,

demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis

and treatment of complex responses of individuals requiring inpatient

psychiatric care and treatment of co-occurring substance abuse issues.

As a Nurse Practitioner (FNP): Responsible for the comprehensive

coordination of medical care for assigned patients. Completes all

required documentation including admission history and physical

assessments within 24 hours, medicine/pediatric consultation

assessments, and follow-up notes within 48 hours. Utilizes ICD 10

terminology and concepts for diagnosis and treatment. Prescribes

medication or other interventions within the scope of NP practice.

Operationalizes systems to accept and treat all appropriate patients up

to hospital census capacity. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

of healthcare professionals Participate in continuous quality

improvement initiatives Supports our positive image as a responsive,

The Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will have the following: Bachelor's degree required. Must be a graduate of a Nurse

Practitioner Program. RN licensed within the state of Massachusetts

required. Massachusetts Registration as Controlled Substances

Practitioner US DEA License Prior experience in a Psychiatry setting is

Preferred But Not Required. Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records and healthcare technology Self-directed, demonstrate initiative and

professionalism, and exercise expert clinical judgment to function

independently. Skills in interpreting and applying standards and

regulations applicable to behavioral health inpatient services (e.g. JC,

CMS, DMH, DPH) Time management, problem-solving, crisis management, and

team-building capacity; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage

stress. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as

part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Current CPR certification is required.
