Job summary

LaSalle Network is seeking an Inpatient Facility Coder for a fully remote, contract-to-hire role supporting complex inpatient coding for Level II trauma cases. Review records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, validate MS-DRG, and abstract data for inpatient claims.

Requires AHIMA/AAPC credential and at least 1 year of inpatient coding experience, with assessments >=80%. Compensation is $37-$40/hour with medical, dental and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential (CCS, RHIT, RHIA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient coding experience, including recent work.
• Proficiency in complex inpatient facility coding for Level II trauma cases.
• Minimum 80% score on pre-employment coding assessments.
• Balance of coding accuracy, productivity and attention to detail.

LaSalle Network is partnering with Amplify to hire an Inpatient Facility Coder to support complex inpatient coding for Level II trauma cases. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a fully remote work environment and the potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes while meeting established productivity and quality standards.
• Validate MS-DRG assignments and ensure accurate coding and grouping outcomes.
• Abstract clinical data to support accurate inpatient facility claims and reporting.
• Review and resolve coding-related claims scrubber edits.
• Participate in client meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, conventions, and regulatory requirements relevant to assigned cases.

Qualifications

• Hold an active AHIMA or AAPC credential, with CCS, RHIT, or RHIA required.
• Have at least one year of relevant inpatient coding experience for the assigned patient population, including experience within the past six months.
• Demonstrate proficiency in complex inpatient facility coding for community hospital cases, including Level II trauma.
• Achieve a minimum score of 80% on required pre-employment coding assessments.
• Maintain a strong balance of coding accuracy, productivity, and attention to detail.
