Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center - Exercise Physiology in Charlotte seeks an experienced Exercise Physiologist for inpatient rehabilitation. You will develop and direct patient mobilization and exercise plans in a fast-paced hospital setting to support early mobility and functional recovery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Health/Fitness (Master's preferred), ACSM-CEP/EP-C eligibility or BLS HCP, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines with a focus on patient safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health/Fitness required; Exercise Physiology degree preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• ACSM-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) eligibility or EP-C preferred; BLS HCP required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and performs patient mobilization and exercise programs.
• Assess contraindications and readiness for mobilization by reviewing medical records.
• Coordinates care with nursing and therapy services as appropriate.
• Explains the role of mobilization to patient/family, verifies the order, and confirms patient identity.
• Monitors patient's performance and tolerance and adjusts plan as medically indicated.
• Documents daily treatment notes and patient/family education.
