Novant Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in Wilmington, NC. Core duties include inpatient care on a 62-bed adult unit and collaboration with the emergency department to deliver high-quality psychiatric services in an acute behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include daily rounding, documentation, supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team while offering opportunities to teach residents.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Patient population: 18+ for acute care; potential to consult on those below 18 when needed
• Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients
• Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary treatment team that includes providers, nursing, therapy and support staff
• Provide supervision and mentorship of psychiatric residents and medical students
• APP Supervision
