Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in food and nutrition or dietetics.
- Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Licensed Dietitian in Illinois; maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Good instructional and communication skills; hospital clinical dietetics experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a nutrition plan of care for all assigned patients.
- Fosters continuity of care across the continuum of care.
- Evaluates and monitors the outcomes of medical nutrition therapy.
- Provides nutrition education to patients and families.
- Manages delivery of nutrition care and participates in performance improvement.
- Mentors Diet Clerks and support staff.
