Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian in Macon, GA to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and counseling to patients in the Food and Nutrition department. The role requires a degree in food and nutrition and RD licensure or eligibility, with no prior experience required for the entry level position.

Daytime hours, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend and holiday coverage. The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality

Qualificações

• Registered Dietitian license or eligibility and state licensure as applicable
• CDR registration eligibility by Jan 1, 2024 or after with timeline requirements
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition (master’s for 2024 CDR timing)
• Experience not required for this role

Responsabilidades

• Assess and monitor nutritional status; adjust care per evidence-based guidelines
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) counseling and education
• Coordinate nutrition care with physicians, nurses and other teams
• Document nutritional assessments, plans, and education entries thoroughly
• Educate patients and families; develop and update educational materials
• Mentor dietetic interns and support staff under supervision
• Share nutrition research findings with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate patient care needs to ensure standards of excellence and customer satisfaction
