Job summary

Ascension St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health - Owasso, seeks a dietitian to promote health through personalized nutrition plans.

You will assess nutritional needs, develop dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating while monitoring progress and post-discharge diets. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams in a national inpatient rehabilitation setting, documenting care plans and supporting patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• State licensure required to practice.
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document relevant information in the patient’s medical record.
• Implement nutrition care plans and adapt menus for dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
