Job summary

Ascension St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health - Owasso, is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to lead nutrition care. You will assess nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating.

You will also instruct patients on post-discharge diets and monitor nutritional status during recovery. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and care teams to promote wellness and recovery in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD) is required.
• State licensure is required.
• One year of clinical dietetics experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document necessary information in the medical record.
• Implement nutritional care plans and adapt menus for dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
