Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional care to inpatient population, including screenings, assessments, interventions, and follow-up.
• Visit patients to evaluate nutritional needs, diet orders, and oral intake.
• Document care and patient progress in the medical record using EPIC.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, food service staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Attend discharge planning rounds and communicate nutritional needs to staff.
• Provide patient and staff nutrition education.
• Assist with outpatient dietitian coverage as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department operations.

Inpatient DietitianJepsen Investments, Inc.Soldotna, AK, United States**Description**Inpatient Dietitian (Direct Hire) - Soldotna, Alaska Our client, a respected healthcare organization in Alaska, is seeking an experienced Inpatient Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care to its inpatient population. This role is responsible for assessing patient nutritional needs, developing and monitoring nutrition plans, documenting care, and providing patient education. The Registered Dietitian will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, food service, and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate nutritional care and follow-through on diet-related orders. The position may also provide outpatient coverage as needed and participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental operations. This position is 10-hour shifts, preferably Monday – Thursday. Variable hours/days may occur including weekends. Weekend day-shift coverage may be required as well Job Responsibilities · Provide nutritional care to the inpatient population, including nutritional screenings, assessments, interventions, and follow-up. · Visit patients regularly to evaluate nutritional needs, diet orders, and oral intake. · Document nutritional care and patient progress in the medical record using EPIC. · Collaborate with physicians, nurses, food service staff, and other members of the healthcare team. · Attend discharge planning rounds and communicate with unit supervisors and nursing staff regarding patient nutritional needs. · Provide patient and staff education related to nutrition and dietary needs. · Assist with outpatient dietitian coverage as needed. · Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department operational activities. · Participate in Joint Commission preparation and review of applicable standards and scoring guidelines. · Share responsibility for weekend and holiday coverage of inpatient nutritional needs.
