Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina Acute Dialysis Unit provides inpatient dialysis services across two locations, operating 24/7 with 36 hours weekly and daytime shifts (0630-700p) on Monday–Saturday. New hires may receive up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year service agreement for those with dialysis experience.

RN II role requires a BSN preferred; with an Associate/Diploma, enrollment in BSN within two years and completion within four.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing must enroll in BSN and obtain BSN within four years.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
• Assist in bedside dialysis-related procedures as part of the unit's scope of care.
