Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Clinical Diabetes Educator – Registered Nurse to provide inpatient diabetes self-management education and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe diabetes management at discharge.

You will train patients on insulin pumps, CGMs, and diabetes technology, develop education curricula, and participate in quality improvement and research efforts with Joslin Diabetes Center colleagues.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a nurse, preferably in community health, ambulatory care, or diabetes care.
• Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification are required.
• CDCES certification preferred or required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized diabetes education and care planning.
• Educate patients on diabetes management, nutrition, exercise, monitoring, medications, and prevention of complications.
• Train patients on diabetes technologies including insulin pumps and CGMs.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans with the healthcare team.
• Deliver daily inpatient diabetes education with hands-on device teaching and medication management.
• Provide phone triage and participate in on-call emergency responses.
• Lead education sessions and collaborate to connect patients with community resources.
• Develop/update education curricula and participate in quality improvement and research.
