Job summary

Broward Health seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Inpatient Pharmacy at Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, FL. The role focuses on specialized clinical programs to optimize patient outcomes, including anticoagulation, pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, and IV to PO conversions.

You will precept residents and students, participate in hospital committees, and represent the department across inpatient and ambulatory settings. Full-time, days, 1.0 FTE.

Qualifications

• Degree from an Accredited College of Pharmacy.
• PGY1 Residency or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
• Board Certification or Residency preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge for the specific patient population; ACLS/PALS/BLS as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized clinical activities relating to designated clinical programs to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform medication utilization activities including anticoagulation, pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, order verification, and IV to PO conversions.
• Precept pharmacy residents and students.
• Participate in committees and represent the department across hospital and ambulatory settings.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent
