Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Parallon Inpatient Coding Specialist, you will review hospital inpatient records to assign, validate, and edit ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, perform coding and DRG validation across multiple entities.

Responsibilities include assigning codes, validating documentation, maintaining accuracy and productivity standards, and initiating physician queries when needed.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• Undergraduate degree in HIM/HIT preferred
• 2+ years of inpatient coding experience
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS preferred
