Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama seeks a qualified Health Information coder with RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification and at least five years of hospital coding experience, including Medicare inpatients. Expertise in DRG regulations and proven accuracy on coding assessments is required. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include accurate coding and adherence to coding guidelines within a hospital setting. This is a full-time position located in Alabama with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must hold RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification.
• Minimum of five years’ hospital coding experience, including Medicare inpatients, with knowledge of DRG regulations.
• Demonstrated accuracy: 90% on coding test or six months of DRG coding with proven accuracy.
