Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to accurately review and code inpatient medical records in an acute-care hospital setting. You will ensure accurate coding, reimbursement, and documentation while complying with coding guidelines.

Responsibilities include coding with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, applying MS-DRG guidelines, querying for clarification, and reviewing denials. Proficiency with 3M 360 or similar systems and strict confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute-care hospital setting.
• Certified credentials required: CCS, RHIA, or RHIT.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and MS-DRG.
• Knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines and Medicare/IPPS regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
