Job summary

NorthBay Health in California is seeking an experienced Inpatient Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in the inpatient setting, including labor management, cesarean delivery support, postpartum care, and obstetric triage evaluation.

The CNM independently manages care for low-risk patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, and collaborates with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiology, neonatology,

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
• Active Registered Nurse license and Certified Nurse Midwife certification through AMCB.
• DEA registration, National Provider Identifier (NPI), Furnishing license, BLS, ACLS, NRP.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive obstetric assessments for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
• Independently manage normal labor, spontaneous vaginal delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
• Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Manage postpartum hemorrhage according to institutional protocol.
• Stabilize obstetric emergencies until physician escalation or team intervention.
• First assist in cesarean delivery if credentialed.
