Foundation Health is launching an Inpatient CNA Sponsorship Program at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. We welcome compassionate individuals who want to become CNAs and start with paid training and on-site shadowing before joining the hospital team.

The program emphasizes school in the first half, followed by paid orientation and limited work shifts. After certification, roles move toward CNA positions on the assigned unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; patient-centered approach.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care such as daily living activities and comfort.
• Prepare patients for care activities and examinations.
• Record vital signs and measurements accurately in medical records.
• Support with EKGs, blood draws, and specimen collection as directed.
• Report changes in patient condition to licensed staff promptly.
• Assist with patient transport and unit turnover.
• Maintain clean, safe care environments following infection control standards.
• Manage supply levels and assist with scheduling and patient instructions.
• Answer phones, process forms, and support clerical tasks.
