VCU Health seeks a Clinical Social Worker (MSW) to provide direct patient and family support and help coordinate team-delivered services on the Acute Care Surgical unit at the Main Campus.

The role conducts psychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans aligned with the health care plan, delivers interventions, educates patients and staff, and supports discharge planning and community referrals. Licensed Virginia CSW preferred; MSW from CSWE-accredited program required.

Qualifications

• CSW Level 2: minimum one year of clinical social work experience.
• Master of Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Virginia licensure as an LCSW preferred.

Responsabilités

• Complete psychosocial assessments.
• Develop treatment plans aligned with the overall health care plan.
• Provide psychosocial intervention.
• Educate patients, family members, staff and social work students.
• Facilitate compliance with treatment.
• Coordinate discharge planning activities.
