Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Pharmacist to join the inpatient/outpatient team in a teaching medical center. The role involves reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, verifying ingredients, and advising on interactions, dosages, and storage.

You will counsel patients, monitor responses to therapy, and participate in clinical supervision of pharmacy staff. Responsibilities include unit dose dispensing, IV admixtures, navigating the EMR, and collaborating with clinicians under P&T

Qualifications

• In retail/community pharmacy: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and knowledge of drugs and regulations.
• In medical center settings: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; hospital experience or residency preferred.
• License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy; multi-state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, ingredients, and suitability.
• Advise on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Counsel patients on medications, administration, and expected responses.
• Monitor patient progress and oversee pharmacy staff and processes.
