Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice pharmacy and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medication orders for allergies, duplications, and interactions; makes interventions.
• Oversees preparation and timely delivery of medications to care areas.
• Provides counseling to patients and supports medication education.
• Ensures documentation of regulatory requirements is clear and complete.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and support staff; provides clinical consultation.
• Identifies areas for process improvement and safety enhancements.
• Supports leadership initiatives and departmental directives.
