Job summary

Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion/Belmond seeks an inpatient/clinical pharmacist for the Pharmacy Department. This full-time role rotates between Clarion and Belmond locations, with regular hours and occasional weekend duties.

Responsibilities include sterile compounding per USP standards, order verification, interventions, rounds participation, policy updates, and staff education. Omnicell support and billing duties are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college of Pharmacy with BS or higher in Pharmacy.
• Current valid Iowa Pharmacy License.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Will be required to work at all Iowa Specialty Hospital locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding according to USP 797 and USP 800; order verification.
• Document interventions and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Update policies and procedures; provide staff and patient education.
• Supervise hospital technician staff; Omnicell support.
• Billing and ordering of pharmaceuticals; join hospital committees.
