Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy or eligible for SC licensure; licensure required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets and enters medication orders in the computer for drug administration.
• Ensures medications are dispensed and delivered promptly.
• Checks medications including IVs, carts, and kits before dispensing from the pharmacy.
• Provides drug information to health care teams.
• Promotes safe use of dispensing and packaging systems and hospital pharmacy technology.
• Follows hospital and pharmacy policies and regulatory standards.
