Qualifications

Inpatient Child Adolescent Psychiatrist – Anchorage, AKNorthStar Behavioral Health System has been among the top providers of behavioral health services in the state of Alaska since 1984, with the goal of supporting the whole family. Located in Anchorage, AK, North Star offers healing environments through our acute care and residential treatment programs. Details

  • Position: Acute Inpatient Child & Adolescent program.
  • Focus on patients: You will complete initial psychiatric evaluations, assessments, discharges, patient documentation, treatment team meetings, and daily care of assigned patients.
  • Setting: Mostly inpatient with optional available OP, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested.
  • Flexible scheduling options: Open to variations of block scheduling or Monday-Friday; Open to hybrid in-person/remote arrangements.
  • Minimal call/weekend coverage: 1:5 Saturday/Sunday rounding and once per week evening call (phone only).

  • Teaching/mentoring: Impact the next generation of clinicians by mentoring medical students, psychiatry residents and fellows, nursing students, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $330,000-$350,000, determined by experience level, qualifications, job fit, and other factors.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage.
  • 26 days of Paid Time Off annually.
  • CME allowance.
  • Health insurance, medical, dental, vision, ST/LT disability, etc.
  • Relocation and/or Sign-On Bonus package if needed.
  • Student Loan Repayment optional.
  • Company-matched 401k and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employed W-2 or Independent Contractor arrangements available.

Required Education, Training, and Licensure

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatry (preferred).
  • Licensed to practice in the State of AK or the ability to obtain an AK medical license.
  • Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
